Le Lynx Junior

Game A: Each player takes 3 cards from the "pot", face down. When the signal is given, everyone looks at their cards and tries to form pairs by collecting the silhouettes on the table. The first player to successfully form three pairs says "won" and the game immediately ends: this is the end of the first round. Each error is penalized by the obligation to put back into play a won pair. The cards of the images that were not found are to be placed back in the pot to be reused during the next round. Three cards are drawn again, a new round can begin...  Game B: A game leader does not participate as a player. The game leader takes a card from the pot and shows it to all players at the same time. They immediately begin searching for the matching face-up silhouette on the table. The first player to find it takes it and forms a pair with the card the game leader gives them. When there are no more cards in the central pot, the game leader counts each player's pairs; the winner is the player with the most pairs.
NB: There is a version with a tray from 24 months (my first lynx). Lynx Junior is one of the very first board games for children. There are several rules, they are easily adaptable according to the age and skills of the child.
This game first calls on the abilities of exploration and visual discrimination (location, association, comparison): all the large cards are placed in the center of the table, the child draws a small card from the pot and must find the same image as quickly as possible among the others placed on the table. This game also calls on the abilities of visual and selective attention .
Depending on the rule chosen, the child must also learn to wait his turn .
